Giving Back this Holiday Season

‘Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la...
With plans being made and lists written, we prepare for the upcoming holiday season. Thanksgiving and then Christmas are right around the corner. So much to think about, so much to do. I’m often lost in the busyness of the holidays with family expectations, shopping, cooking and going, going, going.
But then I stop to consider what matters: family and community. And I consider the reasons we celebrate: thankfulness for all we’ve been given and the glorious birth of Jesus. I am challenged in how I spend my time and money, and in what way I keep Jesus at the center of it all. I want this season to be about more than reindeer on red cups and holiday parades (although I enjoy both!).
I am looking for ways to make this season meaningful for myself and those around me. Youth for Christ is an awesome ministry that reaches young lives and heart with the message that they matter, to us and most importantly, to God. Over the course of the next few weeks we – you and I – can partner with this ministry in these tangible ways:
Wreath of Light
Together we can reach incarcerated kids with the hope and love of Christ this season by providing Christmas gifts to each and every one in the nine Denver area juvenile facilities that YFC serves. With multiple ways to support this outreach, there is a place for everyone to be a part.
Amazon Smile
Make the most of your holiday shopping dollars! When you shop Amazon.com, be sure to go through Amazon Smile and they will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases to Youth for Christ Denver. You shop. Amazon Gives.
Colorado Gives
Join together with your neighbors on December 8th and support your favorite Colorado non-profits. PLUS every dollar you donate to Youth for Christ through ColoradoGives.org will help YFC earn additional $$. It's a great opportunity to see your donation to Youth for Christ multiplied to reach more kids for Christ. Give where you live!
How will you serve your community this holiday season? #joinYFC
